C’est en 2000 que Greg et Bastien débutent l’aventure WOH dans le lieu qui deviendra leur première résidence :
Le Victor Hugo à Nîmes.
Dès lors, amis et passionnés se greffent au groupe (Steph de la House, ian!, Krème, Teka, RDB, Bash & Guilhom Kreagan), laissant entrevoir ce qui deviendra la marque de fabrique WOH: un éclectisme musical toujours à la pointe des dernières tendances electro. Le collectif se diversifie en
proposant une émission de radio (« ELECTROTYP ») dédiée à la musique électronique sur la région et leur permet de
rencontrer DJ’s, producteurs, labels et associations.
Les soirées Way of House s’étendent ensuite aux les villes environnantes : Montpellier, Avignon, Arles, Carcassone…
pour atteindre la capitale.
De rencontres en rencontres, WOH continue de lier contacts et amitiés dans le microcosme Techno. Chaque membre apportant sa pierre à l’édifice avec ses propres compétences (booking, production, graphisme…).
En 2003, le festival A-Nîmé voit le jour, avec le soutien de la ville et devient aujourd’hui un événement majeur de la culture électronique nîmoise et de sa région en proposant concerts, forums et autres rencontres.
2009, WOH créé son propre label : WOH LAB, et développe aujourd’hui une majorité d’artistes locaux afin de les exporter hors de nos frontières!
En attendant, retour à la source, c’est bien à Nîmes qu’aura lieu le traditionnel et incontournable anniversaire WOH avec un seul mot d’ordre, que la fête continue !
